. san jose firefighters blamed staffing shortages for a fire that burned two homes. it started yesterday afternoon near croply avenue. the fire getted one home and damaged the other. at least seven people were forced out of their houses. a fire captain said additional forces were called because the company nearest to the fire was not available because of budget cuts. this morning two tourists were kidnapped while traveling in egypt. they were traveling and security officers say the car was stopped and the americans
